Sneak Peek at New Moana 2 Song “We’re Back”

In the newly released Moana 2 trailer, if you listen closely, you will here a snippet of the new song, “We’re Back,” written by the new songwriting team of Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, who step into the extremely large shoes of Lin Manuel-Miranda, who wrote the iconic songs “How Far I’ll Go” and “You’re Welcome” from the first Moana movie. While Lin Manuel-Miranda is no longer involved, original composers Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa’i do return, so there should be some musical consistency on the soundtrack. Moana 2 opens on November 27 and will see the return of Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson to their respective roles of Moana and Maui. Behind the scenes, the film is written and directed by David G. Derrick Jr., and Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Mille.
